Google Adwords: Save a couple bucks…

A few days ago I was surprised when I saw my Adwords advertisement on my own website. It seems pretty stupid to me that Google Adwords doesn’t automatically filter out the actual domain that the advertisement is pointing to.

So – if you want to save a couple bucks and not have people click on YOUR ad to come to YOUR site that they happen to ALREADY be on, remember to add your site to your competitive ad filter in Google Adsense.

  1. That sounds odd. I wasn’t aware that Google AdWords doesn?t automatically filter out the actual domain that the advertisement is pointing to.

Thanks for posting about this on your blog! I’ll have to check if they aren’t showing my own ads on my personal sites.
