Consumers fight Back!
I’m not sure that anyone would argue that the web is now the best resource for people to research. Today I found a post on Dealzmodo from Gizmodo’s Blog for a $79 17″ flat screen monitor. Sounds too good to be true?
One of the comments on the blog says to check out eCost (the reseller) and their ratings at ResellerRatings.com. eCost has some of the lowest ratings in the system – with terrible rebate redemption according to the 87 reviewers in the last 6 months and 587 total.
I’m embarrassed to say that I had never seen ResellerRatings.com before. Luckily, I shop at NewEgg.com quite a bit and they have great ratings! (I love their selection of barebone computers!).
It used to be Buyer Beware….
but now it’s Seller Beware
I’ve bookmarked ResellerRatings.com and will keep a close eye on companies I might buy from but haven’t yet. What a fantastic resource and great means for consumers to fight back! I love the interweb, tubes and all!
E-cost screwed me badly and consumers should know about their substandard products and service
