This morning we posted about Twitter and some of the great advice they’re providing businesses. One of the key pieces of advice was to utilize a series of tweets to grow interest and promote a contest or events. If you don’t utilize a tool like Hootsuite to schedule your tweets (that’s our affiliate link), then you need an alternative for planning and scheduling out your tweets.Hootsuite even has a bulk uploader so you can plan your Tweets out in Excel and upload it as a CSV file!
One dead simple and robust free tool out there is IFTTT, If This then That. There are a ton of great recipes out there for for business and marketing. In this case, we can use the scheduler to plan out Tweets.
Select the scheduler, set your dates, and write your Tweets… it’s that simple. Be sure to include a link that’s measurable by using bit.ly or similar service. We have a custom shortened URL setup in Hootsuite, too!).
There you go. Set up a week or so of Tweets, perhaps 2 to 3 a day, and you’ve got yourself a scheduled Twitter campaign. One note: the scheduler will trigger the event each year… so be sure to disable the recipe if you don’t plan on having the campaign each year!
