The Rise of the Progressive SMB
Part of recognizing the opportunity for marketing is understanding how your customers are using your products and services. Our workforce is dramatically changing in the small and medium-sized business (SMB) segment. If your business serves SMB’s, you have to ensure that the remote work force and collaboration tools are available to fully leverage your products and services.
If you’re B2C, understand that work hours are changing and buying habits are changing. While retail outlets serve customers during the day and weekends, ecommerce is handling all of the other hours. If you’re not taking advantage of this change in behavior, you’re missing out.
Throughout the recent years we have seen an uptake in a new group of SMB’s – the “Progressive SMB,” organizations that are increasingly encroaching on the territory of their larger competitors. But what makes a SMB progressive? From Cisco’s infographic, The Rise of the Progressive SMB.
I agree with your comments, but I wouldn’t limit the analysis to B2C, B2B faces almost the same situation.
Beautiful infograph and great insights about the shift of technology and collaboration. I would consider myself part of the new social workforce, My current job values and practices progressive SMB tactics, a major selling point when I decided to join their team. I think it’s interesting how the new workforce lives on the internet and in real life simultaneously, makes sense that we want the same kind of flexibility, engagement and mobility in their work environment.
Great infographic! Understand a lot about progressive SMB..
Another great post through illustration. Thanks infographic and to you Douglas. It’s pretty amazing when you just have to put it through illustration what you want to express on your subject. And believe me, it’s effective than putting it all in several paragraphs and read it.
