I’m in no way endorsing a specific political viewpoint. This is obviously a video made by a very conservative organization that, I believe, exaggerates the extent of the symbology and intent of President Obama’s marketing and branding. There are some very unique comparisons of Bush versus Obama and Republican versus Democrat that are worth talking about on a Marketing blog, though.

I’d really appreciate it if you didn’t flame me for putting this up (as many did when I did the Obama Vista post). Politics is always tough to speak about but the exceptional use of branding, iconography and marketing by the Obama campaign and President Obama’s White House was and is nothing short of amazing.
One question is whether or not this is a good brand to continue pushing under the Presidency of Barack Obama? Personally, I think it’s a very safe route for the Democratic National Party. Since the Obama brand is much stronger than the DNC’s brand, any success can be shared but any downfall can be pushed back to the personal brand. I’d love to have your thoughts!
