Printful: On-Demand Print and Embroidery Fulfillment
One of the misnomers of dropshipping is that you wind up losing profit as you pay other providers to print and fulfill your products. That’s actually not the case at all. At issue is the enormous startup costs to build out your own storage and fulfillment centers to accommodate growth.
Dropshippers can earn more than 50% more profit than those who keep their own stock inventory. Additionally, companies that open their fulfillment up to selling through dropshipping experience are over 18% more profitable.

Printful on-demand print and embroider fulfillment have an incredibly robust white-label fulfillment process and a wide variety of clothing and household items that can be fully customized to your brand. Whether you’d like to make a variety of products central to your overall business… or you just want to offer your own branded products for sale, Printful is a great way to scale up quickly.
Don’t stop there, though. While Printful is your print-on-demand provider and fulfillment service… you still need an ecommerce platform as well as a marketing automation platform to handle abandoned shopping cart and other communications.
How Printful Works
Your orders are directly routed via the Printful app to your ecommerce site… so you don’t have to do anything but work on your creative and market your business.
One of the strengths of printful is its robust mockup engine and variety of product images that can be incorporated into your ecommerce site. Just upload your creative, select the product type and specifications, then generate the image you’d like to display on your site. No need for photoshoots or models… it’s all built-in!
Printful Warehouse and Fulfillment
Printful takes care of printing, delivering, and even accepting the returns of your product. If the reason for the return was Printful’s fault – they even cover the expenses.
Printful has 8 facilities around the world, with three locations in the United States: two in Charlotte, NC, one in Valencia, CA, and their other new location in Dallas, TX.

Selling Your Products on Shopify
My recommendation for a simple ecommerce platform to use is Shopify. It’s quite intuitive, has full template engine, and has some amazing integrations with a ton of other platforms to manage, market, and grow your ecommerce business.
The steps are pretty easy:
- Add the Printful App to Shopify
- Add the products you’d like to add to your shop.
- Personalize your product descriptions.
- Set up shipping.
- Enable your live rates… if you have free shipping, be sure to cover that with your live rates.
Optimize and Integrate Klaviyo Marketing Automation
Once you have an ecommerce site up and running, it’s not enough. I’d highly recommend signing up for Klaviyo. Klaviyo will handle everything from newsletter signups, popup offers (with exit intent), abandoned shopping cart reminders… and everything in between.
It’s an amazing platform that has several pre-built automations ready to go right out of the box… just personalize them with your brand, adjust the messaging, and put them live.
