ProBlogger has another fantastic Group Writing Project. (You can participate, too!)
Darren is a lot like having a personal coach for blogging. Rarely do I see a post on ProBlogger that isn’t totally original. I think Darren puts forth an extraordinary effort to make blogs better throughout the Internet.
This Group Writing Project is to come up with a creative list, rant, etc. of reviews for last year or predictions for the upcoming year. I decided to be a little creative and try a combination of both. Below you’ll find my personal reviews of what was great in 2006 and my thoughts on what will be great in 2007. Keep your eye on the 2007 predictions, I think I’ve done a pretty thorough job of documenting out the different areas my blog touches on and thinking seriously about the direction each of the topics are taking.
Enjoy! As always, comments welcome. And be sure to keep track at ProBlogger so you can check out what everyone else is writing about.

I agree with most of your predictions Doug, although I don’t see the Zune making much impact in the media player market. I wrote my own list of predictions for the group writing project.
Good luck with your last prediction 🙂
Hi Brandon,
I definitely went out on a limb on the Zune! Especially having just purchased some iPods for my kids for Christmas. It’s my longshot.
Thanks for the luck, I need it! Know any great looking 25-30 year-old millionaire ex-models that love big single dads who like to blog in all their spare time?
🙂
Doug
No, but if I find any, I’ll be sure to send them your way 🙂
Oh, what a great way to post predictions, I love it! Borders needs to come down in price and offer more online options, including a used marketplace section like Amazon, to even come close to touching that though.
We also participated in this project, stop on by if you get a chance!
One of the best comparisons i had seen till now and a good prediction.Your blog is watched now lol.
I too participated in thius contest.Just waiting for darren to put it in his next post
I am feeding your blog
Thanks, Mama Duck! Thanks Ashish!
Don’t forget to check this list at the end of 2007 🙂
You’ll have to remind me. My memory doesn’t last that long. 😉
Nice predictions man …and great blog..
Thanks, Madhur! That kind of feedback keeps me going!
Nice way to go about predicting.
Wide Monitors – yep, already seeing it.
Zune – Hmmm, I’m on the tipping point of buying one.
Fun to see that the iPod is replaced by Zunes, just as Windows XP is shifted out by Mac OSX.
Can’t really see the first thing happening (and at any rate not so quickly), but certainly hope for the second one to become true.
(Hey, that would mean that all PC owners with an iPod would now get a IntelMac and sync it with some Microsoft software? Hm…)
