Thrive Market’s Shopping Cart is Brilliantly Enticing
I’ve been getting back into some healthy eating and saw an ad for Thrive Market. It’s a really amazing specialty shop online where users can filter their site based on virtually any specialty from grass-fed, to dye free, paleo, vegan and dozens of other options. I digress… but be sure to check it out and use my link above so I get free stuff.
After finding some healthy snacks, I added a few to my shopping cart. I clicked the basket to see how many items I had in there and was blown away by what I saw next.
Notice the very bottom of the cart? As I began to float my mouse over the Check Out button, directly beneath it states:
Add $2 to your cart and get free shipping!
They got me. I return to shopping and add another item in my cart. The cart is updated and now states:
Your order qualifies for FREE shipping!
Boom. But those sneaky shopping cart optimization pros aren’t done yet… they also continue to add another offer above the check out button. I didn’t bite on that one… but only because a chocolate almond bar is most likely not on my list of allowed food.
In case you were wondering, the Primal beef jerky was great. The Kale Crunch? Not so much.
Great post! Thanks for sharing your insight.
Which ecommerce platform they use? Amazing.
In researching their site, it looks like the platform was built on Instart Logic.
