We touched base with an old client today who hasn’t worked with us in the last year. A year ago, many companies were utilizing our resources because we were ahead of the curve on search optimization strategies. Now, I believe we’re pushing our clients further down the road to rich content strategies and marketing automation. It winds up, we’re on the right track.   1. There’s no doubt that email is one of the most important digital marketing activities.Having a clear and focused email strategy is vitally important to your marketing mix; without a well-defined strategy your email marketing ROI is likely to suffer.

    1. Yes but sometimes when a marketer is strapped for cash they have to forgo traditionally long term tactics and just promote for pure cash…

      I’ve been in this situation and frankly it just wasn’T the time for considering the future benefits of list building. But once the universe got restored back to order so did the list building 🙂

      1. @MarketSecrets:disqus I would still push an email subscription. If you’re paying for short-term tactics and getting folks to your site… why not offer a subscription for those who ‘may’ be interested but just not ready to buy yet? This will maximize your short-term investment and allow you to push additional messaging to those subscribers down the road.
