Visual Content Drives Comprehension, Engagements and Conversions on Social Media

Have we yelled enough about visual content? I don’t think so. Utilizing a variety of types of visual content continues to be effective.
I was explaining this process to a local retailer this week and they were really having a difficult time believing the impact that daily visual content shared online could help their business. While I was there, I took a 10-second slow-motion video of a really cool piece of equipment they had. No branding, no fancy production… I just uploaded the video directly from my iPhone to Facebook. I didn’t have any expectations and I wasn’t trying to show off.
Within a day of sharing the video, there were 200 views of the video. And then the unimaginable happened. Someone in my network saw where I took the video and remarked that this was the only retailer they trusted in this industry and they had worked with him for the last decade. Boom! One video was shared and one testimonial with incredible reach. And it took me less than a minute to produce and post.
Titled How Visual Content Drives Social Media Growth, our infographic addresses three main components: why visual content is so important to the survival of brands in the digital age, the significance visual content enjoys in the biggest social media platforms and finally, online tools and mobile apps that brands can use to make their visual content more appealing in order to attract customers.
In the marketing ecosystem, visual content assists in so many ways – from brand recognition to comprehension to engagement and even conversion. Your visual content doesn’t have to be a polished explainer video that’s been carefully scripted, with professional voiceovers, music, sound effects, and weeks of animation. It can be a 10-second video taken on your iPhone or a photo taken of a smiling customer.
This is a great infographic (wait… what’s that… a piece of visual content?) that walks you through each social media network and how effective visual content is to that medium.
