I don’t know about you, but I’m starting to see a lot more advertisements on YouTube. As video becomes more affordable and impactful, it seems that every marketing strategy needs to incorporate it. Video is very unique in that it reaches virtually everyone. Not everyone reads, but everyone watches. And with YouTube installed on virtually every connected platform, there’s no way you’re not watching YouTube videos.
For marketers, the impact of ads on relevant videos is continuing to rise… so you don’t have to go out and get a videographer just yet (although I still would recommend it!). It seems the industry has done a great job at slowly implementing longer and longer video advertisements and popover ads. I watched a 2 minute advertisement the other day on one video! More often than not, I watch the “Skip this Ad” countdown, though.
