I don’t have any sympathy for Verizon.
Earlier this year I started an account with Verizon and my company reimbursed me for purchase of a model 6700 PDA phone. Part of the reason I purchased this phone was to connect my laptop and phone via USB for Internet access while I was on the road. I asked if the phone could do that, they said yes. However, they left out the fact that it required an additional monthly fee over and above my unlimited internet usage.
Now I’m stuck with the contract AND I still have another account through another carrier for Internet access.
Per Verizon.com: Our goal is to be the most respected brand in communications by making and keeping promises to our customers, our communities, our shareholders, and our employees. The Verizon Commitment and Values, which appears on the inside cover of our Code of Conduct, highlights these commitments.
Ummm… it’s a nice goal to have, but I’m not convinced it’s really your goal. Here’s another sad example of a Verizon issue:
It’s really quite painful to listen to this entire phone call. Perhaps if Verizon would stop trying to nickel and dime (or 0.002 cents) us, we wouldn’t be such dissatisfied customers.
Why not simply remove the Code of Conduct off of your home page, Verizon? It’s just wasted space!
