ANI

ANI is the acronym for Artificial Narrow Intelligence.

Artificial Narrow Intelligence

Also known as Weak AI, ANI refers to a type of artificial intelligence that is designed to perform specific tasks or solve particular problems within a limited domain. ANI systems excel in the tasks they are built for, but they lack the ability to generalize their knowledge and skills to other areas or tasks outside of their designated domain.

Examples of ANI include speech recognition systems, recommendation engines, spam filters, and image recognition systems. These AI applications are highly effective in their respective areas but cannot perform tasks outside of their specialized domain.

ANI is the most common form of AI available today, and it powers a wide range of applications across various industries, including finance, healthcare, marketing, and transportation. However, ANI is fundamentally different from Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) or Artificial Super Intelligence (ASI), which involve higher levels of intelligence and cognitive abilities that can generalize across multiple domains.
