ASIN

ASIN is the acronym for Amazon Standard Identification Number.

Amazon Standard Identification Number

A unique identifier assigned by Amazon.com and its partners for product identification within the Amazon organization. Each product listed on Amazon receives an ASIN, which is used to manage inventory, track products, and index catalog pages for searching and browsing. An ASIN is typically a 10-character alphanumeric code, distinct for each product. For books, the ASIN is the same as the book’s ISBN, but for all other products, a new ASIN is generated when the product is uploaded to Amazon’s catalog. This system is essential for efficient product management and sales tracking on the platform.
