HPC
HPC is the acronym for High-Performance Computing.

High-Performance Computing
The practice of using powerful computational resources to solve complex problems and process large amounts of data at high speed. HPC systems achieve this by combining multiple processors—either CPUs, GPUs, or both—across many servers (known as nodes), which work together to perform calculations simultaneously (parallel processing).
HPC is used across industries where large-scale data analysis and intensive computational tasks are required. Common applications include scientific research, climate modeling, engineering simulations, financial forecasting, bioinformatics, and artificial intelligence. By significantly reducing the time required to perform tasks that would be impractical or impossible on a single machine, HPC enables breakthroughs in fields that demand high precision and speed.
Traditionally, HPC systems were run in dedicated on-premises data centers. Today, advances in cloud computing allow organizations to access scalable HPC resources on demand, providing flexibility and cost efficiency while maintaining the high performance required for demanding workloads.
