MITM
MITM is the acronym for Man-in-the-Middle.

Man-in-the-Middle
A type of cyberattack where a hacker secretly intercepts and manipulates communication between two parties without their knowledge. This allows the attacker to eavesdrop, steal sensitive data, or alter the exchanged information.
MITM attacks commonly target online transactions, login credentials, and private messages. They can be carried out using various methods, such as fake Wi-Fi networks, malicious software, or compromised network devices. Organizations and individuals use encryption, secure connections (SSL), multi-factor authentication (MFA), and network monitoring to prevent MITM attacks.
