NCOALink

NCOALink is the acronym for National Change Of Address Link.

National Change Of Address Link

A secure data product licensed by the United States Postal Service (USPS) that provides up-to-date change-of-address (COA) information for individuals, families, and businesses who have filed a COA request within the last 48 months. The NCOALink database is maintained by USPS and is accessed via certified service providers, including data processors and mailing software vendors.

NCOALink helps organizations maintain accurate mailing lists, reduce undeliverable mail, and comply with USPS Move Update requirements—particularly for First-Class Mail and Standard Mail eligibility. It matches mailing list records against the USPS COA database, updating addresses before mail is sent.

This service is essential in direct mail marketing, financial services, healthcare, and other industries where accurate customer contact information is critical. NCOALink reduces waste, improves campaign deliverability, and helps organizations stay connected with mobile audiences.

While the NCOALink database is not available for public download, USPS licenses access through several tiers—Full-Service Providers, Limited Service Providers, and End-User Mailers—depending on the intended use and processing volume.
