GameFi
GameFi is the acronym for Gaming Finance.

Gaming Finance
A sector that combines blockchain-based gaming with decentralized finance (DeFi) elements, allowing players to earn, trade, and invest in digital assets within gaming ecosystems. GameFi projects often use cryptocurrencies, non-fungible tokens (NFTs), and smart contracts to enable play-to-earn (P2E) models, where users can generate real-world value through in-game activities.
Unlike traditional video games, where the game developers own assets, GameFi allows players to have true ownership of their digital items, such as weapons, characters, and virtual land, which can be sold or transferred across different platforms.
