ITU-T

The International Telecommunication Union Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T) is the standards-setting sector for telecommunications and information and communication technologies (ICT) within the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). It ensures global interoperability and smooth operation of telecommunications and ICT systems through its standards, known as ITU-T Recommendations. The permanent secretariat of the ITU-T is the Telecommunication Standardization Bureau (TSB), based at the ITU headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. The current director of the TSB is Seizo Onoe, who commenced his four-year term on 1 January 2023.
