OLED
OLED is the acronym for Organic Light Emitting Diode.
Organic Light Emitting Diode
A type of display technology used in electronic devices such as televisions, smartphones, and wearable devices.
Unlike LCD displays, which require a backlight to illuminate the screen, each pixel in an OLED display is self-illuminating. This means that when an electric current is applied to the organic materials within the pixel, they emit light directly, creating vibrant, high-contrast images.
OLED displays offer several advantages over other display technologies, including excellent contrast ratios, fast response times, wide viewing angles, and low power consumption. OLED displays are also incredibly thin and flexible, making them ideal for use in curved screens and other applications where space is limited.
There are several types of OLED displays, including passive-matrix OLED (PMOLED) and active-matrix OLED (AMOLED). AMOLED displays are the most commonly used type in smartphones and other devices, as they offer faster response times and better color accuracy.
