The label in front of a European standard number. The digits that follow identify the document. On a fume hood, 14175 is the containment and airflow series a safety officer expects to see written out, not paraphrased.
How to Read the Citation
The letters say the document is a European standard. The number says which one. A part number after a hyphen, when the manufacturer includes it, points at one section of that series, such as the type test or the vocabulary. A product page that prints only the letters, with no number, has not named a test.
What Belongs on the Product Page
Copy the string the way it appears on the test report. A safety officer will search for it and paste it into a requirements file. If a custom size is still covered by the same standard, say so next to the citation. If it is not, say that too. The gap is what produces the email.
