NLG

NLG is the acronym for Natural Language Generation.

Natural Language Generation

A subfield of artificial intelligence (AI) that focuses on generating natural language text or speech from data or other structured information. It essentially involves transforming structured data into human-readable and understandable text.

NLG can be used in a variety of contexts and applications. For example, it can be used to write reports from numerical data, create personalized emails or messages, generate descriptions for e-commerce products based on their attributes, create news articles from raw data, or even produce weather forecasts based on meteorological data.

At its core, NLG aims to mimic human-like language generation, making the output more relatable and easier to understand for individuals. It’s a key component in many AI systems, especially those that interact directly with people, like chatbots, virtual assistants, and content-generation tools.
