BLE

BLE is the acronym for Bluetooth Low Energy.

Bluetooth Low Energy

A wireless communication protocol designed for low-power and short-range applications, such as proximity marketing, wearable devices, and Internet of Things (IoT) devices.

Also known as Bluetooth Smart, BLE is a variant of the classic Bluetooth technology, but it is optimized for low power consumption and small data transfer rates. BLE devices typically consume very little energy and can operate on a single coin-cell battery for months or even years.

BLE devices operate on the 2.4 GHz frequency band and can transmit data over a range of up to 100 meters, depending on the power level of the device and the environmental conditions. BLE also supports beacon technology, which allows for proximity marketing and location-based services by transmitting a signal that mobile devices can pick up within its range.

BLE is a widely adopted technology supported by most modern smartphones and tablets. It has become a popular solution for connecting devices in the IoT ecosystem due to its low power consumption and ease of integration.
