GCP

GCP is the acronym for Google Cloud Platform.

Google Cloud Platform

A collection of cloud computing services offered by Google. These services operate from data centers owned and operated by Google and provide a range of services including computing power, storage, and data analytics. GCP is considered one of the major public cloud platforms along with AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Alibaba Cloud.

GCP offers a wide range of services that can be used to build, test, deploy, and manage applications on Google’s highly-scalable and reliable infrastructure. Some of the key services offered by GCP include:

Compute Engine: Allows you to create virtual machines on demand and run your applications on them.
App Engine: Allows you to build and deploy web and mobile apps without having to manage the underlying infrastructure.
Kubernetes Engine: Allows you to deploy, manage, and scale containerized applications using Kubernetes.
Cloud Storage: Provides scalable, durable, and highly available object storage for your data.
BigQuery: A fully-managed data warehouse for analytics at any scale.
Cloud SQL: Fully-managed relational databases, including PostgreSQL and MySQL.
Cloud Spanner: A fully-managed relational database that supports both transactions and SQL.
Cloud Datastore: A NoSQL document database for automatically scaling data storage.
Cloud Firestore: A NoSQL document database that lets you easily store, sync, and query data for your mobile and web apps.

In addition to these core services, GCP also offers a range of specialized services that can be used for tasks such as machine learning, natural language processing, and big data analytics. GCP also provides a number of tools to manage, monitor and secure your services, such as Stackdriver, Cloud Identity and Access Management (IAM), and Cloud Security Command Center.
