TelePrompter: Your Online Professional Teleprompter

Most of the time that I speak, I like to speak naturally and have large visuals throughout my presentation. This way, I appear natural and I can focus on the speech’s reception by the audience rather than the words on the screen. However, there are times – like in YouTube videos – where I have limited time and need to write a script.
Pasting the words in a document and bumping up the font size to be viewable is one way to fake having a teleprompter. Of course, scrolling and keeping your place is quite the pain in the butt. A couple years ago, we shared a device ProPrompter Desktop, which allows you to stare directly at your web camera while recording.
While ProPrompter offers its own teleprompter application, there’s an alternative now available online. Teleprompter has Software as a Service application online where you can upload your script (or a script for multiple people), insert timed breaks, and even put in images. You can do all of this for free, or keep your scripts available as part of a subscription.
TelePromptor teaches you how to speak like a professional, using patent-pending technology powered by over ten thousand speeches. Using the average phonetic duration technique, you can sound just like the pros! Hosted in the cloud, TelePromptor is a professional teleprompting application with a clean, engineered user interface aimed toward anyone who needs to read a script into a camera.
TelePrompter Editor
The edit screen is self-explanatory, offering the ability to add images, set speakers, and adjust breaks.
TelePrompter Player
Within the play screen, you have access to your script as well as an overall timeline. Across the top is a progress bar for your script with breaks clearly outlined with a B. The numbers and associated colors are for coordinating different speakers. Just upload your script, set your break times for breathing or pauses, and away you go!
Since the teleprompter is responsive and played within a browser, it can be played in full presentation mode on any device – desktop, tablet or mobile.
