How to Run Email Campaigns with Gmail

Yet Another Mail Merge

Sometimes you don’t need a full email service provider (ESP) with all of the bells and whistles of list management, email builders, deliverability, and other sophisticated tools. You just want to take a list and send to it. And, of course, if it’s a marketing message – provide the ability for folks to opt-out of future messages. That’s where YAMM may be the perfect solution.

Yet Another Mail Merge (YAMM)

YAMM is a Chrome-enabled email merge program that enables users to build a list (via import or Google Form), design an email with personalization, send it to the list, measure the response, and manage unsubscribes all in a simple solution.

YAMM: Simple Opt-Out Email Merge with Google Mail & Spreadsheets

  1. Put your contacts in a Google Sheet – Put the email addresses of the people you want to email in a Google Sheet. You can take them from your Google Contacts or import them from CRMs like Salesforce, HubSpot, and Copper.
  2. Create your message in Gmail – Choose a template from our template gallery, write your email content in Gmail, add some personalization, and save it as a draft.
  3. Send your campaign with YAMM – Head back to Google Sheets to send and track your email campaign with Yet Another Mail Merge. You’ll be able to see who bounced, unsubscribed, opened, clicked, and replied to your messages so you’ll know what to send them next.

To get started, just install YAMM in Google Chrome. YAMM has great documentation as well.
