PBN is the acronym for Private Blog Network.

Private Blog Network

A network of websites used to build links to a single website to manipulate search engine rankings. This term is usually used in the SEO industry, where people create multiple websites to link back to a main website, thus improving its search engine ranking.

The network consists of several (usually expired) domains with a high Domain Authority score, indicating that search engines view them as trustworthy. The person running the PBN will then create new content for these domains, including links back to their main website.

The use of PBNs is considered a black hat SEO tactic and is against the terms of service of most search engines, including Google. If a website is caught using a PBN, it could be penalized, and its ranking could be significantly impacted.
