Siteimprove.ai: Treat Accessibility as Strategy with Agentic Content Intelligence

Content teams are publishing faster than they can review. A legal check at the end doesn’t fix twenty years of pages, and a blank image description fails two readers at once: a person using a screen reader and a system that can only see text.

Siteimprove.ai

Siteimprove.ai is an agentic content intelligence platform. It puts accessibility, search (SEO and AEO), content strategy, and analytics in one place, aimed at content that has to comply and content that has to perform. Accessibility is core to the product.

Siteimprove: Together, We Transform Access to the Digital World

Siteimprove.ai treats accessibility as the base of a content program, not a ticket you file after the page is live. One example that Jen pointed out when I spoke to her at Opticon was alt text. A careful description helps a screen reader user. It also gives a crawler a real account of an image that will not load, or that a model cannot see. Customers who started on the accessibility side, Jen said, are now seeing that same structure help them show up in answer engines.

AI made the issue more challenging. Pages are easy to add and rarely retired, and answer engines read the archive whether a team thinks a URL is current. Jen’s answer is agents that scan for accessibility issues and for the structure an answer engine needs, then rank what to fix. A large company and a small one share the same staffing shortage. She said her own marketing team is small, and they still build the checks in at the start.

If we can start looking at accessibility as just good content strategy, and not this after-the-fact legal checkbox, and really think about it as a strategic lever that you can pull at the beginning of your content program and build it in.

The buyers she named are the regulated ones: financial services, healthcare, education, government, and organizations in the EU. Private-sector teams are showing up too, because the pressure is customer experience and discoverability, not only a statute. A food-service customer asked how the same checks could apply to an in-store order kiosk, including a shopper who cannot type because a hand is in a cast. Jen sent that question to engineering. What the platform ships today is websites, PDFs, mobile apps, documents, dynamic pages, and sites behind a VPN, not a separate kiosk product.

On April 20, 2026, Siteimprove.ai reported that the Department of Justice had extended both ADA Title II web deadlines by one year. Public entities with a population of 50,000 or more have until April 26, 2027. Smaller entities and special district governments have until April 26, 2028.

Jen’s warning to prospects who feel they just gained a year: the archive is already decades deep, so the extra year is for the work, not for waiting.

What the Platform Checks

The site groups the work into accessibility, search, content strategy, and analytics, with quality and brand checks beside them. These are the pieces a content team uses.

  • Accessibility Agents: A website remediation agent suggests code fixes. An image agent compares alt text with the picture. A PDF agent works on documents. Scans cover the site, PDFs, mobile apps, dynamic pages, and properties reached through VPN Connect.
  • Analytics: A conversational analytics agent answers questions about the data. App analytics covers native apps along with the web. The September 2025 release added Content Blueprint AI, a mobile solutions suite, and experience analytics with session replay and struggle detection.
  • Brand Consistency: On-demand audits look at fonts, the color palette, and whether the voice matches the brand.
  • Content Strategy: A planning agent and a writing agent draft and shape pages against voice, quality, and visibility rules. Jen said the models behind this are mixed. Some are licensed, and some are built in-house, depending on the job.
  • Editor Connections: As of June 30, 2026, an MCP server connects the platform to Claude, and there is a Figma plug-in.
  • Prepublish: A paid check inside the CMS or the browser reviews accessibility, SEO, quality, and policy before a page goes live. It does not run the broken-link check.
  • Quality Assurance: Broken-link, misspelling, and readability tests run against live and previously published pages. Readability is also part of the prepublish pass.
  • Search and Answer Engines: Technical SEO, content gaps, rankings, citations, share of voice, competitor performance, and brand sentiment are tracked across Google, ChatGPT, Claude, and AI Overviews (AIO). A public checker scores a URL for answer-engine readiness. Anyone can also submit a URL for a score and request a Digital Insights Report, which the site says arrives within 48 hours.

Preset CMS plug-ins include Optimizely CMS (Jen said the company runs on Optimizely, and in September 2025 the two sides added an agent handoff so issues found in Siteimprove.ai can be resolved inside that CMS), WordPress, Drupal, Adobe Experience Manager, and Sitecore. The wider list passes 100 connections, including HubSpot and Jira. Jen’s short version: you can connect it to the CMS you already run.

A study Forrester Consulting ran for Siteimprove.ai put the return on investment (ROI) of a composite organization this way.

The TEI study commissioned by Siteimprove showed Siteimprove’s platform delivered a 275 percent return on investment (ROI) over three years for a composite organization.

How a Team Puts Siteimprove.ai to Work

Connect the CMS, or drop the check into the browser, and run the site. Put the prepublish pass in the release workflow so accessibility, search, and quality issues are caught before a visitor or a crawler sees them. Use the agents to rank what to fix first. That is the governance problem Jen described: the pile of content grows, and the team does not. Pricing is quoted, not published as a rate card.
