SEO isn’t just keyword analysis and making pages look good for a search engine. SEO requires research on the domain itself to understand how difficult it will be to get ranked. It also should include a comprehensive strategy for how to effectively promote your content. On-site optimization may get you found… but off-site promotion will win you the #1 spot. This is an element of SEO that many of the pros don’t discuss with their clients because they don’t have an effective strategy to incorporate off-site promotion.
