QuickSigner: Legally Binding E-Sign Without Envelope Caps

Contracts still stall in the last mile. Someone prints, signs, scans, and emails a blurry PDF, or the team pays enterprise envelope fees for a handful of documents a month. Signers get asked to create an account they will never open again. Legal wants a file Adobe Reader treats as valid. Finance wants a bill that does not jump because you sent 40 extra agreements.
QuickSigner
QuickSigner is cloud e-signature software that seals PDF and Word files with certificate-based PAdES signatures so small teams can send and collect legally binding signatures without printing or envelope caps. Signers do not need an account, an app, or a token. Watch walkthroughs on the QuickSigner YouTube channel.
The legal argument is the seal. QuickSigner applies a certificate-based PAdES signature that Adobe Reader can show as valid when the credential chains to the AATL (Adobe Approved Trust List). The file is tamper-evident. That is an AES (Advanced Electronic Signature) under eIDAS, not a QES. In the United States, the workflow is built to sit inside ESIGN and UETA.
The commercial argument is the meter. Paid plans advertise unlimited documents instead of per-envelope charges. According to QuickSigner’s published figures, 100,000 documents are signed weekly, and 9 in 10 users would recommend the product to a friend. Signers open a link, type, draw, or upload a signature, and send the PDF back. No new login for them.
Security is table stakes for this category. The company states ISO/IEC 27001:2022, TLS 1.3 in transit, AES-256 at rest, Google Cloud storage, GDPR, and RBAC on the workspace. Developers get a REST API, webhooks, and an iframe so the same seal can sit inside an existing product.
What You Can Send and Track
The product is a send-and-seal workflow, not a full contract lifecycle suite. These are the pieces that show up once you are in the app:
- Audit Trail: Signer identity, IP, and timestamps sit with the sealed file so you can show who signed and when.
- Bulk Send: Professional plans push the same packet to many recipients without rebuilding the request each time.
- Certificate-Based PAdES Seal: The PDF carries a certificate signature Adobe Reader can validate, with a qualified timestamp for longer-lived proof.
- Edit Sign Request: Professional users can correct a live request instead of canceling and starting over.
- Iframe Embed: Drop signing into your own UI with a sign URL, optional hidden info panel, and a redirect when the file is done.
- Multi-Party Signing: Email several signers, optionally in order. They do not create an account.
- OTP Mobile Verification: Professional plans can require a OTP (One-Time Password) on the signer’s phone before the ink lands.
- REST eSign API: Two-call upload and request, API-key auth, then SMS or email delivery depending on the flow. Production signing on Pro is metered after included credits.
- Saved Signature and Initials: Type, draw, or upload a mark once, then reuse it. Initials are available for reviewers who are not the full signatory.
- Templates and Contract Library: Save field layouts and roles. Business includes a template cap. A free library covers common NDA and MSA starting points you download, then send.
- Tracking and Reminders: Status, search, filters, tags, and reminders so a quiet inbox does not kill the close.
- Upload and Field Placement: PDF on every plan, Word on paid. Drop signature, date, text, and stamp fields. Paid adds checkbox and attachment.
- Webhooks: Fire events back to your stack when a document is viewed, signed, or completed.
Together, that is send, seal, remind, and (on Pro) embed.
Getting Started with QuickSigner
Create a workspace, upload a PDF, place fields, and send. The first PDF on the free plan doesn’t require a card. Paid Business is $5 per user per month (or $48 per year) and includes unlimited documents, more signers, Word files, templates, reminders, and sign-in-order. Professional is listed at $15 per user per month (or $144 per year) and adds OTP, bulk send, teams, and the API (50 included credits, then $0.30 per signed document). Custom branding and diploma sealing are sales-quoted.
